This attractive stone cast planter is an exact replica of a pot designed by Mary Watts (1849-1938) for the Compton Potters’ Arts Guild. Mary Watts was a major contributor the Arts and Crafts Movement.
The Small Scrolled Jardinière has a round body and a pair of pleasing scrolled handles, re-sembling a Roman urn. Available in a range of colours. Classic, robust and frost-proof planter that will weather over time and last for many years. Available in a larger size.
This simple and attractive jardinière was previously attributed to Gertrude Jekyll – a great admirer of the pot and planter designs created by Mary Watts and her contribution to the Arts and Crafts movement. The replica Scrolled Jardinière from Haddonstone is shown in the popular terracotta colour.
